  38. You won't *have* to buy 3.1, though it is a useful improvement to your
  39. system (if for no other reason than layers.library is *faster* in 3.1,
  40. so all windows, etc. react better on the screen, especially with more
  41. colors).  Most of the software in the Surfer pack will work with OS 2.04
  42. and up, except for Voodoo (EMail) which requires 3.0+, because it uses
  43. Datatypes.
